Η Εφηβική μας ομάδα κατέκτησε χθες(7/5) το Παγκύπριο πρωτάθλημα ποδοσφαίρου U21, τερματίζοντας στην πρώτη θέση με 64 βαθμούς έχοντας αφήσει στη 2η θέση την Ομόνοια με 61 βαθμούς. Η ομάδα μας πέτυχε σ΄αυτές τις 26 αγωνιστικές 21 νίκες, έφερε μία ισοπαλία ενώ δέχθηκε 4 ήττες. Πέτυχε 63 τέρματα έχοντας την πρώτη επίθεση του πρωταθλήματος, ενώ δέχθηκε 25 και είχε τη δεύτερη καλύτερη άμυνα.
Η κατάκτηση αυτή του φετινού τίτλου είναι η ενδέκατη στην ιστορία της ομάδας μας, κάτι που αποδεικνύει την τρομερή δουλειά που γίνεται στα «φυτώρια» των Ακαδημιών μας από τη χρονιά ίδρυσης τους το 1984. Δύο πρωταθλήματα κατακτήσαμε πριν από αυτή το 1966-67 και το 1970-71, ενώ μετά τη χρονιά ίδρυσης των Ακαδημιών μας έχουμε άλλες εννιά κατακτήσεις(86-87, 90-91, 95-96, 96-97, 97-98, 00-01, 08-09, 13-14 και το φετινό σεζόν 2016-17)
Βέβαια πρωταρχικός στόχος δεν είναι η κατάκτηση τροπαίων αλλά η ανάδειξη ποδοσφαιριστών που θα στελεχώνουν την πρώτη ομάδα, αυτά έρχονται μέσα από την ποιότητα και τη δουλειά που γίνεται τόσο στις προπονήσεις όσο και στους αγωνιστικούς χώρους.
