Οι οργανωμένοι οπαδοί της ομάδας μας, όπως κάθε χρόνο έτσι και φέτος, δεν ξέχασαν τη μνήμη του υπαρχηγού της ΕΟΚΑ Γρηγόρη Αυξεντίου και έδωσαν το παρόν τους στο Μαχαιρά.
Αναλυτικά η ανάρτηση του συνδέσμου μας «Δυτικά προάστια»:
«Τελέστηκε σήμερα το πρωί, το ετήσιο μνημόσυνο του ήρωα και υπαρχηγού της Θρυλικής ΕΟΚΑ, Γρηγόρη Αυξεντίου. Μέλη του συνδέσμου μας, πιστά στις αξίες και στα ιδανικά του Σωματείου και της Πατρίδας, έδωσαν για άλλη μια φορά τον παρόν τους στα βουνά του Μαχαιρά, αψηφώντας το ”δήθεν” γιορτινό κλίμα των ημερών, για να τιμήσουν τον Μεγάλο αυτό Άντρα.
Όταν η μάζα ξεχνά, οι τελευταίοι πιστοί συνεχιστές του αγώνα για Ένωση, κρατάνε την φλόγα αναμμένη. Απαξιώνουμε τους πολιτικούς καρνάβαλους και υποστηρικτές τους, οι οποίοι υποδύονται ως τέτοιοι καθημερινά, και κρατάμε ατσάλινη καρδιά και πίστη σε αυτά που μας άφησαν ως παρακαταθήκη ”κάποιοι”, για να μπορούμε σήμερα να έχουμε υπόσταση και ελευθερία (έστω και κουτσουρεμένη).
Χαρίζουμε λοιπόν τα καραγκιοζιλίκια σε ”άλλους”, και δίνουμε όρκο τιμής και αγώνα για την συνέχεια.
Λαός που ξεχνά την ιστορία του, είναι καταδικασμένος.
